Thanks to generous support from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy and The Recycling Partnership, the Detroit Department of Public Works now offers a robust commercial and multi-family residence recycling program.

Zero Waste Detroit is contracted by the Department of Public Works to coordinate the program and provide education to those that opt in. We provide ongoing support by making contamination checks to monitor what individuals are recycling. We can also provide additional education to ensure the program is working for all those that take part.
